I wanted a football game, and for my sins, they gave me one. Brought it up to me like room service. It was a real choice game, and when it was over, I never wanted another.

“Never turn on the game.” Absolutely goddamn right! Unless you were goin’ all the way… Freeman turned off the game. He split from the whole fuckin’ program.

“Someday this game’s gonna end”. That’d be just fine with the boys in the living room. They weren’t looking for anything more than a way home. Trouble is, I’d been back there, and I knew that it just didn’t exist anymore.

I had the game on but wasn’t actively watching it. So glad the Bucks finally got a W. They came perilously close to beating my Seahawks last week.

Not exactly a miracle of offensive ability. But not that bad a game, I thought.
