Neither your life nor your cat need defending. But what a perfect shot: You, happy; Jacques: immortalized. Kitty being languidly kitty.

    Needs defending, that is. :-\

Wow, that cat looks huge! I’m basing that on the head, not the body.

And you won’t have me knocking you over spending time with cats. Beyond my daughter Cat, we have three indoors cats (two of ours and my Mom’s, although Mom’s cat is really my cat, too) and three feral cats outside that I am trying to acclimate to humans. The ones outside are a Momma cat and her two kits. The kits are now three and a half months old, and I am having trouble getting them to make up to me, especially the daughter.

I don’t suppose you need more cats, do you? I’ve got Momma Cat, a rather spectacular calico, her daughter Calie (also a calico), and son Blackie. (You can guess his coloring.) Momma is destined to be a lap cat, Calie is a coward, and Blackie is BOLD. A little too bold and reckless, in my opinion. I think one of the neighborhood toms might of got hom the other night if I hadn’t been outside watching. Like most boys, he’s just too full of himself.

They are all destined for better names, I hope. I wasn’t planning on adopting them as much as I have. So if anyone wants some Central Florida cats….

    Oh aye, he’s huge.

I’ve considered a third cat; I’ve decided I won’t go looking for one but will see if fate brings me one. It will have to bring me one closer than Central Florida, though . . .

What mockturtle said. So nice to see you, looking happy and well.

No question, your cat IS huge!

Well, I figured. But hope springs eternal.

    Fatherhood fits you, ice.
~Hope springs eternal~ from the resident pessimist is such a cool thing:0).

Ditto to all the above- you look great! His eyes are green??

  11. Icepick said,

Yeah, I have been remise, that is a great photo, Annie.

Karen, my wife claims my depression and cynicism spring from optimism and idealism. Go figure.

She’s right. If you don’t hope or care, how can you be disappointed?

    An armful of fluffy goodness.

    What a great cat!

  15. Icepick said,

Yeah, expecting the world to actually function well is clearly a sign of mental illness.

(I’m not sure if I’m being sarcastic or not.)

    Well, there’s always fluffy goodness….

I love this photo – your smile – his face – his paws – the drawing of J. – and books in the background. Perfect!
